My Dad purchased this vehicle new in Flagstaff, Arizona in 1983. Although the speedometer shows 165,000 miles, a portion of those miles occurred while being towed behind a motorhome. This vehicle has never been involved in an accident nor subjected to abusive off road travel.
The engine (4.2L 258 CID In-line 6) and transmission (5-speed) are original and currently have less than 200 miles since being rebuilt approximately 5 years ago. A Weber carburetor, HEI distributor system and duel red top batteries with an isolator charging system have been installed. At the time of the engine rebuild the transmission received a new clutch, pressure plate, throw-out bearing, pilot bearing, and pilot shaft.
Recently the entire vehicle was taken down to bare metal, rust proofed and completely re-painted in the original color. In addition the original seats were also rebuilt and re-upholstered using marine grade materials in the original color.
A Sky Jacker 1.5″ lift kit is installed with quick disconnect sway bar linkage and heavy duty greasable shackles. The tires (5) are ProComp’s 31×10 R15 with 8” American Mag aluminum wheels with less than 500 miles of use. The vehicle has a Class I Trailer Hitch with 2” receiver, swing away spare tire carrier and a Warn – 9000 lbs wench with remote.
I still have the original owner’s manual, bill of sale and sale brochure.
